Equiteam’s Liz Daniels chats to the lovely Mary Jarvie about her journey from being an ‘adult learner’ to a competent equestrian.

As a horse-mad child and teenager, Mary describes riding as an addictive drug and the itch that she can now scratch – although her true equestrian learning didn’t start until she was in her fourties.

Mary reflects on the challenges that she has faced along the way, letting go of the adult learner label, and the realisation that your riding level isn’t a reflection on the age that you started riding.
