How it all began…
Equiteam Confidence Camps is the dream child of Liz Daniels and Lou Gillings, who met half their lifetime ago whilst grooming for showjumping riders.
Liz holds her UKCC Level 2 and teaches with her unique, sympathetic and very encouraging coaching methods. She always gives 100%, ensuring riders of all confidence levels get the most out of their lessons, leaving improved with a new understanding of their relationship with their horse.
Lou has many years experience of horses and equestrian events. Combining this with a love of baking and feeding people, means she can provide lovely home baked meals whilst encouraging riders from the sidelines to help create Equiteam’s unique supportive camp environment.
Equiteam holds confidence, eventing and dressage camps and clinics for adults of all abilities.
“We want riders to go away from camps having pushed themselves out of their comfort zone to achieve their goals and often much more than the goals they had set for themselves.”
The 3 day confidence camps are educational, fun and designed to improve your riding with an emphasis on building a bond when jumping. We welcome riders over the age of 18 of all abilities ( we just ask that you are capable of riding in open spaces with other horses). It doesn’t matter whether you have a hairy cob, an ex racehorse or a competitive event horse.
Our camps are usually held at Lindores Equestrian in Fife which has fabulous facilities, providing everything we could wish for during camps, including sand and grass arenas, permanent and temporary stabling, toilets and showers, a lovely cosy bothy to eat, chat and entertain in. Plus of course the XC course which boasts over 100 fences from 30m to 1.10m including an inviting water jump and several feature fences.
Lindores has a variety of accommodation options available to riders from a grassy camp site and bunk room to luxurious lodges complete with hot tubs.
We encourage all riders to support and cheer each other on during camp which makes for an awesome experience for everyone. Many people (including us) make friends for life following camp and continue to share goals and achievements long after camp is over.
